This year the XBA is helping to raise funds for the San Miguel School of Camden.  The San Miguel School is an independent Catholic Lasallian Middle School for young men of families in Camden whose educational needs will be met regardless of their financial status. As a Gospel-centered school, the dignity and giftedness of each student is recognized and nurtured within a supportive community of staff and parents. Its programs provide the necessary academic, spiritual and social skills needed to be successful learners and responsible citizens.

The San Miguel School of Camden is one of 63 NativityMiguel (www.nativitymiguelschools.org) member schools in 27 states serving over 4,500 male and female students.  89% of students qualified for free and reduced lunch, an indication that a family is living at or near poverty.  Noting that many inner-city schools have dropout rates of 50% or more, NativityMiguel model schools have succeeded where so many others fail.  Ninety percent (90%) of NativityMiguel graduates go on to complete their high school education, and 80% of these attend either two or four year colleges and universities.

The San Miguel School is an official non profit organization and all contributions are tax deductible.
